Walking on Air, Gujarat

A fine volumetric play brought the feeling of walking on air quite literally. A necessary break from the mundane surroundings, this bunch of twenty-eight homes offer the experience like the horizon isn’t the limit. The mere play of balconies and walls create an engaging facade while offering shade from the scorching sun. This is intended to keep the interiors cool on a hot day.

The entire plan flips over its central axis to accommodate the double height in the main living room. Each unit is about 3600 square feet area with two living rooms, a dining space that opens up in a small balcony, four bedrooms and a study.
