Village House, Kothariya

At the center of an almost abandoned village, a linear site cramped between two roads was to be inhabited by a family of nine. To capture the stillness of the neighborhood, we developed a series of sequential sections that accommodate the functions of daily life.

Due to the shape and location of the site, no two spaces in the house were similar. This helped fuel our ideas to form an iconic dwelling for the family that is cozy within yet stands out humbly in the context.
