Vaastu House, Rajkot

We were offered a beautiful site in a quiet neighbourhood to build a Vaastu complaint house with a Brahmasthan open to the sky. We took this challenge and built a house which resonates with current times.

The Vaastu Chakra decided the placement of all spaces in nine grids with the central grid left open for Brahmasthan and the staircase. As the Brahmasthan is a space which should be left open, we drew inspiration from the stepwells to design the stairs.

Vaastu house has some beautiful details and a brahmasthan with a tulsi plant. The stairs are no more just for vertical movement but a junction of communication, connection and holiness.
